Casira Development System - Top of the range Bluetooth software and hardware development system with 2 Casira End Points, each supplied with a BlueCore based radio module, RS232 and USB interfaces, built-in I/O, capable of supporting both host-side software development (interfacing at either HCI or RFCOMM levels), and embedded systems development (interfacing at RFCOMM level, and/or using BlueCore's on-chip RISC microcontroller), access to hardware example design and associated application notes.

BlueLab - BlueLab is a fully integrated development environment for engineers writing software to run on CSR chips. It includes source code for many Bluetooth profiles, including HSP, HFP, SPP, OBEX, A2DP (source and sink) and AVRCP. It also includes many compete example applications including mono headset, analogue line in adaptor, wireless mouse, keyboard, plug and play USB adaptor for wireless music and stereo headset with call handling.

Typical BlueLab projects:

  • A mono/stereo headset with an LCD for caller ID and song title information
  • An analogue Line In adaptor with a MP3 player control interface
  • A stereo headset with an SD card reader for stand alone operation
  • A Wireless interface for chip and PIN point of sale equipment

BlueCore Player Development Kit - BlueCore Player is a low cost, low power MP3 Player example design with Bluetooth to stream music without wires to Bluetooth stereo headphones. It is based on one major CSR device, BC5-MultiMedia External.

This kit contains everything needed to take a Bluetooth enabled MP3 Player to market in the shortest time possible item with the minimum qualification cost. The design is fully RF and interop tested. It is also Bluetooth qualified under the End Product Listing (EPL) scheme. The development kit includes:

  • BlueCore Player example design board loaded with the BlueCore Player application code (with support for English, Japanese and Chinese languages)
  • BlueTunes2 stereo headset development board loaded with the latest stereo headset application code
  • Access to the BlueCore Player SDK, Source code & libraries, example design pack including Gerber files, schematics, interop test results etc and other useful material in the BlueCore Player area of www.csrsupport.com
  • Programming cables and interface boards, Sennheiser headphones and everything else you need to start developing a low cost Bluetooth enabled MP Player.

  • A stereo headset reference design development board loaded with the BlueTunes software (inc MP3, CVC and EDR)
  • A NanoSira Multimedia USB dongle allowing plug and play music streaming from any PC
  • Access to software, reference designs and other useful material in the BlueTunes1 area of www.csrsupport.com
  • Cables, documents, tools and everything else you need to start developing stereo headsets

Nanosira-EDR USB Bluetooth Dongle (Bluetooth SIG PTS Reference Radio) - USB Bluetooth dongle based on BlueCore4™-External. Required for use of Bluetooth SIG PTS (Profile Test System).

UART and SPI Level Shifter Interface Board - This development kit permits quick and easy connection of your BlueCore or UniFi lab prototype board to a PC. Simply bring out the SPI and UART connections from the CSR IC, and wire straight into the interface board's terminal strip. Set the interface board I/O voltage to match that of the target circuit, and run BlueSuite, PSTOOL, BlueLab or other CSR applications.

Note: this kit is not required if you intend to run BlueSuite, PSTOOL or BlueLab with a CSR development kit.
